This entirely depends on the school you end up studying at. Many private schools these days even have ‘year to year’ scholarships. (I know mine did, and I finished 11 years ago!)
For example, if you enter in Year 7, but don’t keep your marks up, your scholarship may not be renewed for the following year. You may be allowed to stay at the school, but the money for fees will need to come from elsewhere.
Of course your scholarship (in most schools) can be immediately discontinued at any time if your behaviour or performance does not meet pre-determined standards.
