I am applying for colleges, and I am realizing how many scholarships are out there for minorities only, there are some for blacks, hispanics, and asians. There are even 50 colleges in the USA that are black only. So why are there no white-only scholarships? I don’t understand how that is fair at all. Can you explain?

Many scholarships are done by private endowments, which means that the individuals who set them up decide who is qualified for that scholarship based on why they are setting it up.
In general, the scholarships set aside for minority students are done because those groups are historically under-represented in being able to afford college through other means. Also, the effects of past discrimination are still ongoing. Schools with predominantly ethnic minority students usually have fewer resources for the students (old textbooks, fewer and older computers, lower paid teachers, staff shortages, old buildings, etc), and both poverty and wealth are inherited so the opportunities for these students tend to fewer.
That doesn’t mean that every minority student has more challenges than every white student, but the scholarships are set aside to try to level the playing field and make college a possibility for those who do.
As for the black colleges, I think you are referring to historically black universities, which were founded because blacks were not allowed to attend most other universities at that time. They remain predominantly black, but they do accept other students. You might try one – they also try to have some diversity on their campuses – for a change in perspective that could be life-changing for you.
There are SO MANY scholarships out there. There are those set aside based on sports, based on musical abilities, based on hobbies, based on region, based on what you want to study or become…..Don’t concentrate on the ones for which you are NOT eligible, look for the ones for which you ARE eligible.
Good luck.

It has more to do with the fact that for many years and even today minorities still have a harder time getting into college. These scholarships that are strictly for minorities are in place to help out a (perhaps only perceived) oppressed people.
