What To Leave The Country At 19 To Go To College. The Problem Is, I Might Have To Plan It Alone…need Advice?

I have always wanted to travel, but my parents don’t believe in really traveling to far from home. We have gone to other states, and Canada, which is about an hour from my house. I wanted to go to France in sophomore year, but they said no. I really wan to go to England in my senior year, but I don’t think they are for it. They are the same way with me traveling abroad. I don’t want to stay in one place for to long.
I might skip college for one year and get a full time job, live with my parents and save my money, then catch a one-way flight to Sydney, Australia. The cost of living is pretty low, and so is the cost of a yearly college tuition. I could go for the same price as staying in state for college!
To top it off, I might be able to get a scholarship for I have a 4.2 GPA and am looking around a 27-32 ACT score. Do you think it’s a good idea?

I don’t know what makes you think it will be cheaper in Australia.
International students pay extremely high fees and must do so in advance. You can easy pay $10,000 per year. International students are also not eligible for scholarships to Australian universities.
A GPA and ACT means nothing to us, we don’t use that means of testing in Australia.

I totally understands u… I also can’t stay in one place for too long.
your parents needs to understand that u are not a little girl anymore, u should talk to them, let them understand. I guss u would be very sorry if u leave things as they are. And so are they. Try to make them see things in your way. But in the end, do whatever make su happy and pleased with yourself. Try to see it in their way too.
You seems to ba a smart girl…
    I say “GO FOR IT”
    good luck!
