I really want to go to Emory University as an undergraduate school and transfer to Emory, School of Medicine as a graduate school. Or I want to go to Oxford College at Emory University and then transfer to Emory University as a junior, and then transfer again to Emory University, School of Medicine. I don’t mind that much going to UGA and then transferring to Emory University during sophomore year and then going to Emory, School of Medicine. Yeah I have these big goals but I’m worried that I might not get accepted into these colleges! I have a 77 as my academic GPA and 79 for overall GPA. I got this worksheet from my counselor to figure out how to get HOPE scholarship. The worksheet told me that if I get straight A’s from now on I can get a 3.3 to get the Hope. (You need a 3.0 to get Hope). I sucked my last semester and freshman year and I really want to get all A’s this semester, junior, and senior year. Am I too late or do I still have a chance of getting accepted? I’m also doing volunteer work at a hospital. Planning on joining Key Club next year and senior year. So please answer if you think I can have a chance of getting accepted. And I would love ANY tips on how to do better to get accepted to these colleges. Thanks!

What is the average score to get on the LSAT’s to enter law school? Where can I find a list of the best law schools in New York, and the scholarships I can apply for? What is the average income for a student who just graduated law school? Last but not least, which kind of lawyer makes the most money? and Which kind of law is easier to get into?
I was wondering, I joining the air force in 2 years. My recruiter told me to wait 2 years and then apply for a scholarship program in the air force, by then i will be finishing college because the scholarship is for graduate school.
This might sound silly but, i saw really nice air force shirt, and i really wanted to buy it. But i realized i was not in it yet. So im wondering if i buy, would it be considered disrespectful to the air force?
I am 17 years old and I’m looking for books about any of the following:
-adventure/travel
-korea
-college/university life
-scholarships
-graduating high school
-foreign exchanges
-countries other than canada
-road trips
No fantasy/sci-fi please (i do read it, but thats not what im looking for right now). Teen/ Young-adult or adult fiction. Travel writing about Korea. Romance is good, basically a good book you’ve read recently.
I have already read HP, Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants, 13 Little Blue Envelopes, Sarah Dessen, etc.
Friendship, adventure, etc.
I am trying to decide which college to go to for an undergraduate degree, and I want to look good for top-notch computer science graduate schools, namely the ivy-leagues. I know illinois is ranked a lot higher than Purdue is for computer science, but I would have in-state tuition with Purdue. University of illinois would cost a lotttt if I went there. But Purdue would basically be free for me after financial aid, grants, and scholarships. So, with graduate school in mind, does the school I go to really matter? Would going to Illinois give me an edge over Purdue? I mean I know it’s how well I do as an undergraduate, but what if I did really good at any school I went to. Would Illinois give me an edge, or for that matter would a really good school for computer science give me an edge over Purdue in graduate admissions?
Hello. I will be a senior this year and as such already feel the pressure of being accepted to my “dream” universities. The only problem is that I don’t really have such ‘dream’ universities. I recently took the ACT and got a score of 31. My GPA doesn’t really reflect my academic abilities – it is a mere 3.7. In my junior year I had a 4.0. I plan to make straight A’s next year as well. I made some simple calculations and figured that if I go through with my plans, I will graduate with a 3.9 GPA. In college, I plan to study business administration (most likely).
Ccan you recomend some universities that would be appropriate for my ACT score and GPA? Also, are there any scholarships based on ACT score alone? I did some research and found out that usually most colleges offer such scholarships, but are there any that are “independant” from the colleges? Also, could I get a minority scholarship since I am from Bulgaria? (I moved to the US almost 2 years ago) Thank you for the information!
I am a senior in college, living at home, and my mother abuses me constantly. She tells me that my major(English) is crap, and that my plans to teach will never come through, and that I’m not even good enough to work at McDonald’s the rest of my life. She yells at me whenever I eat or even get a drink of water. She says she wishes I was never born. She doesn’t work at all, or take any interest in my education, she just sits on the couch and yells all day.
I cannot afford to move out. The apartments in the area are EXTREMELY expensive, and to pay for them, I will have to work full time, as well going to school full time. I really want to focus and do well in school so that I can get admitted and get a scholarship to graduate school. I’m not even a bad student, I work really hard and have A’s and B’s. I don’t party or drink either, so I don’t know why she keeps saying these things to me. How do I stick it out in this atmosphere for another year? My dad sees what is going on and he is sick of her too, but refuses to divorce her, because he thinks that it’ll affect my younger brother negatively. What should I do?
I have been recently accepted with 2/3 scholarship and I was wondering if it would be a good choice. Can anybody tell me what’s the scope of my degree after i graduate?
Thanks in advance (:
My mom has her techincal/vocational degree, but I’m not sure what category it would fall under. It gives me the options of: High School Graduate, Some College, Associates Degree, Bachelors Degree, Graduate Degree, Some Graduate School.
Would I put down that she is a high school graduate, or that she has some college, or that she has her associate’s degree. Although I’m not too sure what an associate’s is.
I have just been accepted to Swarthmore College, one of the top liberal arts schools nationally with an acceptance rate of 12 percent. I love the school, although they are expecting my family to pay $46,000 per year in tuition, which is 1/3 of our household income, If I go there, I will likely have to take out loans to pay for it. I have also been accepted to Albion College, which is a good liberal arts school and I like it as well. They have offered me much more scholarship money and my family will have no problem paying for it. I want to follow a pre-law path in undergraduate school and go on to attend The University of Michigan Law School, which is one of the leading Law Schools nationally. Should I go to Albion to save the money and is there a good chance that I will be accepted by top law schools if I stay involved and keep my grades up? Would it be more beneficial to me to go to Swarthmore and pay the loans back after my education is complete. I like the schools equally, but I want to make sure I am not limiting my options for graduate school by attending Albion. Thanks for your help!!
