so my set date to graduate is 2012, however i hear that this year will be very hard to get into colleges. i have the option of graduating early, as a junior, in the year 2011. i usually get B+ or A-, and would like to go to a UC, NYU, or an easier school with a scholarship. i would like to have the option of choosing which school i get into rather than being rejected. what do you recommend i do? I want to go to medical school after I graduate. So I wanted to go to a really strong rated medical school. When do you think is a good time to start applying for scholarships?
Are there any more scholarships left for high school seniors?
I’m a senior in a high school in the state of Texas and will be graduating June 6, 2009. Almost all of the scholarship application deadlines were in last year of October, December, and this year of March 1st. So basically I’ve missed so many scholarship opportunities because I’ve been working on applying to actual universities, I’ve applied to eight already. For scholarships, I’ve only applied to two of them, both offering me 500$, so that’s 1000$ in total. Not nearly enough to go to even my local university, 1 class is approximately 700$ I am planning to go to UT Austin in Spring 2010 but I’m really late and therefore missed the presidential scholarship, and I cannot reapply since I’m already going to graduate. So, is there any other scholarship opportunities anywhere else that I can still apply to and perhaps use for going to UT Austin or my local university? Thanks, and please help my financial crisis. I plan to get a BS degree in Biology and I need as much money as possible because my parents are nearly going broke trying to pay for surgery bills for my dog, they wont have enough money to assist me. I’m going to be a full-time student and wont have as much time to work and to do community hours as I really need to in order to get admitted into medical school. So nothing is working out right now for me, but if you can find anymore scholarship opportunities I’d really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
Every time I ask this question no one answers it except bots posting the same video link.

I want to become a Naval Officer and I am currently attempting a NROTC scholarship. However, if I do not get the scholarship how can I get picked for OCS when I am enlisted? I am a high school graduate with no college yet and meet all physical requirements for OCS. Thank you.
I bought my child the basic supplies they needed and spent over 30 dollars (quite a bit for me on my income) and now a list was sent home requiring a hundred dollar calculator, computer ubs drive, and bunch of books that can’t be found at the library, etc. I can’t afford to buy any of this stuff and I think if the teachers want it they should pay for it. They use the excuse that it is need for college, well what is you aren’t going to college? Not everyone has the money and can’t get loans and grants and scholerships. I remember when I graduated high school I heard about all the scholarships but it turns out they were only given to people involved in sports or minorities, nothing for a white A and B student lilke myself.
Teachers make 30 and 40 k a year and b**** about their income but they expect me to buy over a hundred dollars worth of stuff tomorrow when I make less than 800 and month. Teachers don’t seem as smart as they think they are.

I really had to leave in the mid of my undergrad school cause I needed money and just abandoned my studies for years. Two yrs ago I continued and I’m going to graduate with my first degree soon. I’ve always been working so I’ve managed to save up. I want nothing but studying for a master’s degree in the US or UK. There’s no way I can apply for scholarship because I quit in the middle and I haven’t done anything bizarre in life only work..work..work..So I really have to make my dream come true at my own expense. I could buy a house and car in my country with my money but I really want to know how it feels to study in the US or UK. I’m confused because my friends told me this is too risky. I’ll be over 30 when I start my grad school abroad.
I am going to be a junior at the University of Florida in the Fall of 2009. I just realized that I want to go to graduate school for economics instead of business school. That means I have even less time to prepare. I want to apply to a good school, but I need to be realistic about my decisions.
Here’s the reality. My GPA is 3.38 (can be improve). I’m only involved in a service organization, and I don’t even have a leadership position (working on it). I have had no internships or awards, except for one scholarship.
If anyone can give me advice on what I should focus on or get accomplished, please help me out. Book suggestions and websites are extremely helpful.
