My girlfriend’s sister who isn’t doing well in high school got pregant and is now attending adult school. Well I don’t know if she’s going to get a diploma or not but she’s a junior and she says that she is going to be attending a college. To me I don’t think that’s possible. However she blabs and blabs on and on about going and become a nurse. Well good for her but she’s forgetting the steps you need to take to get there you can’t just skip and expect good things to turn out. She says that she will be getting financial aid and scholarships okay but she a junior in highschool and don’t have a dipolma yet.

A friend of mine dropped out in her sophomore year; got her GED and when she should have been a senior in HS she was going to get her CNA Certificate and later became a nurse. So yes she can. She will still be required to take prerequisites of Chemistry and stuff though so don’t think she’s getting off scot free. She’s chosen the harder road in all reality. It will probably take her longer since she has a child which will consume a lot of her time and will miss a lot of school, and she has shown lack of ability to stick with something, to commit to something. By leaving HS she is already missing out on a lot of things. That s***’s for her, but ‘we make our own beds to lie in.’ I wish her and her child the best of luck. Be supportive, no matter what. She will need it to keep up her motivation. “Will someone please think of the children?” – Mrs Lovejoy, Simpson’s

if she gets her diploma or GED it is possible, but she’s going to have to really WORK for it. Once she gets accepted, she can take out loans to finance her education. She may have to go to community college first, but if she wants it bad enough she can be a nurse, it will take time.
And she has to have dreams. Let her dream, that might motivate her to work hard.
