Is it possible to get a scholarship if you aren’t right out of high school?

I have been attending a community college since I got out of high school. I want to transfer to a four-year school to finish up my degree, but I can’t afford to go. Is it possible to get a scholarship to a school now, or is that just for people graduating high school?

scholarships are all a scam, you have a better chance of winning your state lottery than you will of ever receiving any type of scholarship unless you are a D1 athlete. most of these scams are sleazy for profits, however some just want your email address so they can resell it. the only source for any money is through the tradition financial aid route, the college of your choice will be happy to let you meet with a financial aid advisor (even if you have not applied to the university and are just “shopping around”)

The school you want to transfer to may have scholarships specifically for transfer students – ask their financial aid and/or admissions office. Also, you should check the scholarship search sites such as http://www.fastweb.com, http://www.scholarships.com and http://apps.collegeboard.com/cbsearch_ss/welcome.jsp .
