As the other poster said, if you go full time to a US university for a PhD, most reputable schools will give you funding. In exchange, you’ll be a research or teaching assistant. They pay your tuition, and often a small stipend for living expenses. You won’t get rich on the funding, but it should keep you functioning while you study.
Contact the programs you’re interested in, directly. You’ll need to apply for an assistantship with each one, but they can help you through that process.

Most schools in the USA only accept PhD students that they can support on a teaching assistanceship or research assistanceship. The easiest way to find out about getting this financing is to make contact with the schools you’re interested in applying to. Talk to the graduate advisor for the specific department and ask about financing. They will tell you how their department works. Most students are automatically considered for funding upon application unless the particular school has different funding policies.
