Not easy, as there are many U.S. citizens who also seek such scholarships. With the present atmosphere of national paranoia and isolationism, your chances are not good. Until the United States once again has a real leader, it will not be a welcoming place for folks from other cultures.
One thing is certain, though: If you do not try, you have zero chance. Give it a shot…

    Hi Kenny from Egypt:
I’d like one, too. And while you’re at it, can you get one for me? (and what about my niece? What can you do for her?)
(I’d like to take a break from working and go back to graduate school full-time on a full scholarship…but there’s just this little problem with paying bills, taxes – which help pay for free scholarships for people like you…)
Seriously, I’m sure you’re a nice guy. And there are probably ways you can do what you’d like to do – but most Americans are also wishing they could get free scholarships, too. It’s sometimes more difficult for the average American citizen to get a full scholarship than it is for an overseas student…which confuses us to no end.

Some one has to pay. Quit trying to be a freddy the free loader. If you’re not willing to pay for your education, you don’t deserve one.

Wouldn’t we all like to get free scholarships to go to college in the USA.
But we all have to pay for our educations.
Some people get government help, but all of us have to pay.
See if your government will pay for you to come here and study.
Maybe they have such a program in your country.
    Good Luck.

There are many Americans who deserve scholarships. Get one in your own country. Why should we pay for you?

I am from egypt too ,
Look i dont know in which education year are you ,
but as i know there’s a scholar ship for america for 1 year , offered by an organization called the AFS “http://www.afs.org/AFSI/” , with the cooperation with the misnitry of education in egypt,
it’s only for those in the last eyar of prep school and in the 1st and 2nd year of secondary school , so if you are in one of those stages try to ask about this scholarship and maybe you pass the organization tests and spend a year in america , Hope you good luck.

It is so very important to recognize the importance of global education! I think the negative comments are being made without considering the facts – like the average income of some countries, and the availability of quality education; and the need of some countries to have highly qualified and educated people who will go back to their home countries and share what they have learned. It’s also important to consider the global aspect of working for international businesses. As for scholarships – they are not “free” – they are to be earned – by qualified students, whether academically, or need-based criteria. There are scholarships and grants out there – you just have to know how to find them, and how to apply for them (including how to write convincing essays and cover letters). And it is true that no one will contact you and offer you a free education – you need to do the work. First, find universities that offer discounted tuition, and scholarships. Then, find scholarships on the web and apply for them. Here’s two sites that may be helpful: Finding Scholarships and Grants: http://bit.ly/119n7n
    Twitter for Scholarships: http://bit.ly/1XmOb

Just keep in mind that you should NEVER pay for scholarship information!
