OKay heres the scenario. I was born 1991 on a US military base in Germany to 2 American parents. I am confused as to whether or not i have dual citizenship. If i have it, What are the benefits of dual citizenship? On scholarship or school stuff should i claim german ethnicity or race? Im sorry if i sound stupid. Also How do i deal with passports? Like if i go to germany do i need a passport or what? Last question, I do not have a birth certificate, I have a certificate of birth abroad, will that work as a substitute any time I would beed a B.C.? Im so confused by all this stuff…. Sorry if i sound like an idiot.

I believe you are what’s called an American-born-abroad. I don’t know if that’s the same thing as dual-citizenship though. Sorry.
